Robert has lived in the San Fernando Valley all his life. He began playing guitar 17 years ago, at the age of 11, and has experience playing in a variety of ensembles and environments, including church groups, guitar orchestras, and rock bands. He has toured across California, and has even performed in Canada. As a student at Los Angeles Valley College, he studied classical guitar with Dr. Gregory Newton and Dr. Kate Lewis, and participated in masterclasses with Marc Teicholz and Matthew Greif. Robert holds an AA in Music from Los Angeles Valley College and a BA in History from California State University, Northridge.
