Matteo Calvani

With the ability to execute multiple genres of music, Matteo Calvani has
proved he’s a top player on electric as well as acoustic guitar. Originally
from Italy and currently living in Los Angeles, he has been playing guitar
since the age of 15.
Matteo studied music with various private teachers in order to be
proficient in theory and harmony, rhythm, technique, sight reading and
improvisation.
In Italy he was a member of the original Rock Band “Alkimia” who
debuted their self-produced album called ‘Farfalla” released under the
label Top Records.
Matteo has also played with several bands performing at weddings,
venues, private events, and festivals.
From 2014 to 2017 he has traveled the world working on Holland America
and Celebrity luxury cruise lines as a show band musician. Around this
time he also formed his acoustic project VooDeux Duo featuring the
vocalist Sydney Ranee’.
During this time Matteo played for the Latin Grammy Award winner
“Nestor Torres”, vocalist Grammy Award winner “Melissa Manchester”,
piano virtuoso “Rogerio Tutti” and the Jazz singer “Sweet Baby J”.
Currently he performs around town at Rhythm Room, Perch Restaurant in
Downtown LA and Melrose Trading Post in Hollywood.
