Jordan DeTiege
Schedule: Mon – Fri
Jordan DeTiege is a Los Angeles based Saxophonist and Composer and USC Honors graduate of, The Thornton School of Music earning a BM in Jazz Studies, 2023. He is most recognized by how he interprets and conveys music with his buttery tone and melodic expression. He was introduced to the Jazz Greats and Classical Composers in his childhood; favoring Dexter Gordon, Sonny Stitt, Oscar Peterson and Chopin. When most kids were watching cartoons, Jordan was checking out who was playing live around town- asking to see the late Chick Corea and Ramsey Lewis. This sparked a fire that still burns strong as his thirst for exposure grew and was later influenced by the musical stylings of Stevie Wonder, EWF, Luther Vandross, Bill Evans, Anderson Pac and a host of others.

As a saxophonist, Jordan has shared the stage with music legends such as Patrice Rushen, Nathan East, Bob Mintzer & the Yellowjackets. In addition, he performed with Lauryn Hill and The Fugees’ 25th Anniversary of Miseducation Diamond album arena tour at The Arena and at The Kia Forum with guest artists; Lil Wayne, Nas, and Wyclef Jean.

He has composed music for the televised series, “Stuck With You” and a multitude of USC Student Films, where he found a great love of the ability to evoke emotion through film. His musical compositions are being performed at venues around the Greater Los Angeles area.

His saxophone can be heard on Brandy’s 2023 Christmas album, Christmas with Brandy and Sissel Kyrkjebø’s, Reflections V, 2020 also featured on the Justin Gilmore-Gresham Big Band Albums.
